WHITE QUARTZITE | Quartzite is formed from sandstone that has been tightly compressed to the point where the clasts recrystallize to form a new rock. This formation mechanism, coupled with the inherent strength of quartz, makes quartzite a very durable rock. This set of six samples is excellent for group study and examination. GEOLOGIST SELECTED | Each specimen is selected and hand-processed by an actual geologist, ensuring that each sample exhibits its defining features.
