Details
This Tangent Galvanometer measures electric current by determining the direction and magnitude of the horizontal components of the Earth's magnetic field. Students can place the compass with its needle parallel to the coil, pass a current through it, and measure the angle of deflection. The device features a non-magnetic rotating tripod base and a removable 5-inch compass with 1-degree graduations (SKU: PH0814). It stands approximately 9 inches tall, 6 inches wide, and 6 inches long. The coil has 500 turns. This product is great for educational use, based on the principle of the Tangent Law of Magnetism.
