This Specific Gravity Bottle is ideal for use in physics and chemistry experiments to determine the density of liquids. Made from lightweight, blown borosilicate glass, it features a spherical pattern that is not adjustable. The bottle has a flat bottom and comes with a perforated ground stopper. The inner diameter at the bottle mouth is 10mm, and the overall size is 1.15 inches in diameter by 2.75 inches tall with the stopper (or 1.75 inches tall without it). With a capacity of 10mL, this bottle is autoclavable and offers superior chemical durability. It can withstand high temperatures and thermal shocks due to its low temperature gradient. Eisco Labs borosilicate glass has the following heat tolerances: strain point at 515°C, annealing point at 565°C, and softening point at 820°C.
