This kit removes cytoplasmic (nuclear-encoded) rRNAs.Ribo-Zero removes rRNA in order to retain the regulatory regions of noncoding RNA, even from low-quality samples. Other methods, such as Poly(A) depletion, do not retain noncoding, regulatory information.
