Clear quartz glass crucibles are useful for analytical applications that require the ashing of samples and procedures requiring high temperatures. Quartz material offers low expansion, dimensional stability, and thermal shock resistance, allowing it to withstand a continuous operating temperature of 1050°C (1922°F). Lids, also manufactured from quartz, are sold separately.
