Details
Here is the corrected text: Set of 12 Raw Phyllite Specimens, 1" each. Phyllite is a prime example of low-grade metamorphism from an easily recognizable parent rock. It retains the fissile property of slate but has attained a glossy sheen and soapy feel, characteristic of metamorphic material. Ideal for identification and classification exercises, this mineral demonstrates characteristic metamorphic properties, such as a glossy sheen and dense, foliated minerals. While each specimen may vary slightly in shape, size, and color, it will measure approximately 1" in length. Each is individually packaged, labeled, and barcoded for easy identification and storage. Selected and processed by a geologist, every specimen exhibits defining features. Rocks and minerals are sourced from various locations worldwide and hand-processed in Victor, NY.
