Details
Designed to homogenize cells and plant tissue or re-suspend protein and DNA pellets, these pestles and microtubes are manufactured from polybutylene terephthalate (PBTP) in an ISO Class 7 (FED-STD-209E Class 10,000/M5.5) cleanroom. An optional battery-powered motor can be used with pestles and microtubes. The motor is lightweight and greatly reduces hand fatigue. Its high-speed vortexing action completely homogenizes cell tissue and pellets within seconds. These products are DNase-, RNase-, and pyrogen-free. The pestle features a grooved grip handle tailored to fit the microtube, making it easy to turn without slipping, even when wearing gloves. Pestle length: 7.5 cm (3").
