This Moving Coil Multi Range Ammeter measures both AC and DC current. The operation of this meter depends on the reaction between the current circulating in the moving coil and the field of a fixed permanent magnet. The direction of the rotational movement depends on the direction of the current flow (polarity) in the circuit, accommodating a linear scale. The scale design is calibrated at two different ranges to support ampere readings over a wide 6-range setting. A durable aluminum outer casing protects the inner mechanisms. The meter can be stood up or laid flat on its four rubber feet. Leads are not included.
