Marble - Fine White Specimen, ±1" in size, Each

|
Details
Here is the corrected text: This raw fine white marble specimen is a single sample, measuring approximately 1" in length. Formed from limestone through high pressure and low heat alteration, it becomes a large crystalline rock. Heavily mined for use in architecture, marble is also used in building and furniture construction. Although denser than limestone, marble still effervesces in acid, making this metamorphic rock useful in identification activities. While each specimen may vary slightly in shape, size, and color, it will be individually packaged, labeled, and barcoded for easy identification and storage. Selected and processed by a geologist, each specimen is hand-picked to exhibit defining features. Our rocks and minerals are sourced from locations around the world and are hand-processed in Victor, NY. If you have any questions or need additional information about our rock and mineral samples, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team of scientists and geologists for technical support.
