Hand-operated inoculating turntables produce almost concentric circles of bacterial colonies, evenly distributing them across Petri dishes. The small inoculating turntable accommodates 100 mm Petri dishes and stands 76.2 mm (3") high with a tripod base that brings work to approximately eye level. The center disk is covered with non-skid rubber. The large inoculating turntable accommodates 100 mm or 150 mm Petri dishes. This 32 mm (1 1/4") high turntable is ideal for steadying your forearm on the work surface while plating. It features two circular sections: a top section with a raised gripper lip and a recessed center disk covered with non-skid rubber. Cast iron turntables are coated with gray baked acrylic enamel.
