This large harmonic motion spring is ideal for demonstrations or hands-on experiments in the physics classroom, where it can be used to investigate simple harmonic motion or Hooke's Law. The spring's elongations are closely proportional to the applied forces, making it easy to use. Made of stainless steel wire, the windings of this truncated cone-shaped spring interfere with each other less than those of a helical spring, resulting in truly sinusoidal motion.
