Here is the corrected text: Set of 12 Raw Gabbro Specimens. Gabbro forms within magma chambers deep in the Earth's interior, where iron-rich rock melt accumulates, too heavy to rise to the surface. As the melt cools, olivine and plagioclase feldspar form, creating a prime example of phaneritic mafic rock. This set is useful for exercises in identifying and classifying igneous rocks. Although each specimen will vary slightly in shape, size, and color, it will measure approximately 1 inch in length. Each specimen is individually packaged, labeled, and barcoded for easy identification and storage. Selected and Processed by a Geologist. Our team of geologists selects and hand-processes each specimen to ensure that every sample exhibits defining features. We source rocks and minerals from various locations worldwide and process them by hand in Victor, NY. Technical Support: Feel free to contact our team of scientists and geologists for additional information or assistance with any questions regarding our rock and mineral samples.
