Cargille Meltmount (optical quality) is a series of mounting media which are specifically formulated for use in microscope slide mounting and in other optical coupling applications. Use Meltmount for instant thermal mountants that require "no-oven-time" and are thermally reversible to sample retrieval or re-orientation. Meltmounts are PBC free and contains no solvents. Cleanup in toluene. Fluid at 65 degree C. It is a direct replacement for old mountant mediums (Canada Balsam, Aroclor 5442, Naphrax...) Used to make permanent microscope slide mounts quickly by can be appling to slide on a hotplate. Can be reversed by reheating Quick-Stick. Weighs approximately 2/3 oz. (18g).
