A simple coverslip with a grid image that allows cells to grow and later be analyzed under brightfield or fluorescence microscopy before being further processed and sectioned for EM or other analysis. Applications include Light Microscopy, Fluorescence, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), and High-Pressure Cryofixation. The rectile film has been thoroughly tested with cell culture and features good growth of cell culture equivalent to conventional media. It has good adhesion to the substrate without cell polylysine and is resistant to normal chemicals used in electron microscopy. Excellent transparency provides good optical quality in brightfield and UV fluorescence. They are rigid and will not float in the middle of culture and do not deform at high temperatures.
