This Electroscope Kit provides an ideal method for demonstrating and studying electrical charges. It is useful for both detecting a charge and determining the relative amount of the charge. The kit can also be used to study Faraday's ice pail experiment - this allows one to learn about the actions of charges both near and inside a conductive object. Kit consists of 2 flask type electroscope, 2 discs and terminals, 1 Faraday’ s ice pail, 4 foil leaf pairs. Flasks are made of high quality, heavy duty, 3.3 borosilicate glass. Eisco Labs Borosilicate glass has the following heat tolerances: Strain Point -515°C | Annealing Point 565°C | Softening Point 820°C.
