Details
Here is the corrected text: Set of 12 Raw Biotite Specimens, approximately 1" in length. Found within igneous and metamorphic rocks, biotite's sheet-like appearance and glassy luster make this mineral easy to identify. Formed from cooling magma, biotite's layers are individually weak but comprehensively strong. Excellent for classroom mineral study and identification, mica's thin and layered structure is perfect for demonstrating variable hardness and cleavage, physical properties of minerals, as well as Bowen's reaction series. While each specimen will vary slightly in shape, size, and color, it will measure approximately 1" in length. Each is individually packaged, labeled, and barcoded for easy identification and storage. Selected and Processed by a Geologist: Each and every specimen is selected and hand-processed by an actual geologist, ensuring that each sample exhibits defining features. Rocks and minerals are sourced from a variety of locations around the world and are processed by hand in Victor, NY. Technical Support: Always feel free to reach out to our team of scientists and geologists for additional information or to assist you with any questions regarding our rock and mineral samples.
