Barlow's Wheel is a historical demonstration experiment showcasing the Lorentz force generated by currents flowing between the polar expansions of a magnet. This impressive piece of apparatus consists of a wheel on low-friction suspensions, equipped with neodymium-iron-boron magnets that generate a strong magnetic field over the wheel, setting it in motion when crossed by currents. When 4 AA batteries (not included) are installed, the wheel does not spin, demonstrating the magnetic resistance due to electricity being applied.
