This kit demonstrates Archimedes' Principle, which states that the buoyant force on an object submerged in a fluid is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced by that object. It can also be used to calculate the density of any liquid. The set includes a regular-shaped metal solid, an irregular-shaped metal solid, a 250ml capacity glass beaker with spout, a 50ml plastic beaker with spout, and a Newton meter. Note that this kit does not include a base, rod, or suspension hook; additional components required for use are the Base & Rod Set (CH0653E1RD3) and Suspension Clamp (CH0667). The measurements of the included items are: regular-shaped solid, 0.09lb, 2.6" x 0.75" x 0.75"; irregular-shaped solid, 0.08lb, 1.75" x 1.5" x 1"; 250ml beaker with spout, 0.2lb, 3.8" x 3.8" x 3", with a 1"-long spout and inner/outer diameters of 5mm and 9mm, respectively; 50ml beaker, 0.01lb, 2.45" x 2.2" x 1.95", with a 0.4" spout; and dynamometer, 9.5" long.
