Details
Apatite is one of the few common phosphate minerals. While often found as an accessory mineral in igneous rock, it is also found as concretions or detrital clasts in sedimentary rocks. GREAT FOR GEOLOGY CLASSROOMS | With a standard Mohs hardness of 5 and its relatively uncommon crystal habit, Apatite is excellent for mineralogy labs and geology classroom demonstrations. This set of twelve samples is excellent for group study and examination. GEOLOGIST SELECTED | Each specimen is selected and hand-processed by an actual geologist, ensuring that each sample exhibits defining features. LOCALLY PROCESSED | Our rock and mineral samples are sourced from a variety of locations around the world and are processed in Victor, New York. INDIVIDUALLY PACKAGED & LABELED | Each specimen sample is packaged in a transparent bag and is labeled and barcoded for easy identification.
