Details
Apatite is one of the few common phosphate minerals. While it is often found as an accessory mineral in igneous rock, it can also be found as concretions or detrital clasts in sedimentary rocks. GREAT FOR GEOLOGY CLASSROOMS | With a standard Mohs hardness of 5 and its relatively uncommon crystal habit, Apatite is excellent for mineralogy labs and geology classroom demonstrations. GEOLOGIST SELECTED | Each specimen is carefully selected and hand-processed by an actual geologist, ensuring that each sample exhibits defining features. LOCALLY PROCESSED | Our rock and mineral samples are sourced from a variety of locations around the world and processed in Victor, NY. INDIVIDUALLY PACKAGED & LABELED | Each specimen sample is packaged in a transparent bag and labeled and barcoded for easy identification.
