The vwr culture tubes feature resistance against chemical attack and weathering. In order to remove contamination, increase its strength, and lessen the chance of breakage, each tube is heat-treated at temperatures exceeding 500c (932f) immediately before packing. The tubes have an overflow volume of 9 ml.
