The VWR Culture Tubes feature resistance against chemical attack and weathering. In order to remove contamination, increase its strength, and lessen the chance of breakage, each tube is heat-treated at temperatures exceeding 500C (932F) immediately before packing. The tubes have an overflow volume of 9 mL.
